How do I find good local restaurants?

Your LVYV itinerary includes curated food recommendations — from legendary noodle shops to hidden hotpot joints. Beyond that, look for busy places with lots of locals, or use Dianping (Chinese Yelp) via a translation app.

What if I can't read the menu?

Many restaurants have picture menus. Just point. Your itinerary also includes food-related Chinese phrases. For dietary restrictions, show your communication card to the server.

What if I'm vegetarian / halal / have allergies?

Please include this in your Wish when you book. Xi'an and Chengdu both have vegetarian and halal options. Your designer will note them in your itinerary.

Should I tip?

No. Tipping is not expected in China. Round up the fare for exceptional service at most.

Is street food safe?

Yes — especially the spots we recommend. Eat where there's a crowd and high turnover. Your itinerary will flag the best late-night skewer stalls and morning market stands.
